The Boston Scientology Ministry invites the community for our National Night Out Boston 2007 Block Party

National Night Boston 2007
"Unity Through Community”

National Night Out Boston 2007 is the 24th annual citywide celebration to unify our communities throughout the City of Boston. This program cultivates and strengthens partnerships between the community, youth, police, city agencies and community-based organizations. National Night Out also acknowledges the remarkable contributions of Neighborhood Crime Watch groups, and seeks to increase participation in crime watch programs among local residents.

On Tuesday, August 7th, from 5:00 to 6:00 pm at 1783 Washington Street in Lower Roxbury, the Boston Scientology Ministry will host a National Night Out Boston 2007 Block Party.

The Ministry will present information and lectures on education and other social reform issues. Children will be deputized as official Drug Free Marshals after taking the pledge to be drug-free.

The Boston Scientology Ministry was established three years ago to assist the community in the eradication of crime and violence by handling the issues that underlie crime and violence. One of the Ministry’s most successful programs is the Reading and Study Skills program for all ages. Are You Ready to Know The Truth About Drugs?

Did you know 92% of those who begin ecstasy later turn to other drugs? Or that over 400 billion dollars change hands on illicit drugs and 16.5 million Americans age 12 or older were illicit drug users in a survey done in 2003?

“Crystal meth was my drug of choice, but there were others too –cheap, easy to get, easy to become addicted to and, of course, easy to use. I tried it once and BOOM! I was addicted” Brad
Rev. Nanette Ciano of the Boston Scientology Volunteer Ministry is offering free Truth about Drugs talks to interested community groups throughout the New England area. The talks are based on the effective drug education and prevention program created by the Foundation for a Drug Free World, www.drugfreeworld.org. The Foundation has created a new Truth About Drugs Education Kit. The kit contains ten well-research pocket size individual booklets with factual information about the most abused drugs, including real-life stories and a study guide. One can learn these talks and deliver them to their community. For more information call Rev. Ciano at 617-266-9500

The Ministry is located at 1783 Washington Street, Boston, MA 02118 and welcomes people of all faiths and traditions. Ministry Director, Rev. Robert Castagna stated, “The goal of our program is to assist everyone who calls. If you are looking for personal help or belong to a community group that needs assistance, a volunteer minister can be provided.” The volunteer minister’s program is based on the works of L. Ron Hubbard.
